Giving for the Future: Planned Giving and Bequests
A
bequest or other planned gift is an excellent way to help the
GREY2K USA Education Fund carry out its work today and in the
future. There are several ways for you to make a lasting gift
for the greyhounds. If you have questions about planned giving,

Make an Outright Gift
Direct cash gifts are the most common form of giving and may be unrestricted or restricted - specified to benefit greyhounds in a specific state or to support a particular program. Please contact us before making a restricted gift so we may ensure your gift is managed according to your specific wishes. Mail your tax-deductible donation to:

Because the laws governing wills and bequests may vary from state to state, we strongly recommend that you consult with independent legal counsel. Simply ask your attorney to include a bequest to the GREY2K USA Education Fund in your current will or trust. You may also instruct counsel to add a codicil (addendum) that inserts new provisions into an existing testamentary document.

Establish a Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable gift annuities are a great way to make a substantial contribution to the GREY2K USA Education Fund while ensuring that your own financial needs are met. With a gift of cash or securities (minimum $5,000), you can have the satisfaction of making a major gift to the GREY2K USA Education Fund and receiving guaranteed fixed payments for life (for yourself and/or another annuitant). The payout rate on a gift annuity is based on your age (and, if appropriate, the age of the second annuitant) at the time the gift is made. We suggest you obtain legal counsel to establish a charitable gift annuity.
Add a Beneficiary to your Retirement Plan
By naming the GREY2K USA Education Fund a beneficiary of your IRA, 401k, 403b, pension, or other retirement plan(s), you can make a significant charitable gift while leaving other assets to your heirs. Many plans simply require you to fill out a form listing the GREY2K USA Education Fund as a beneficiary. Please check with your plan administrator or financial advisor for the best way to add or change beneficiaries of each plan.
